The Why and the When
A Little History...
Started playing guitar in 1980 at the age of 13. Had been playing piano up until then and I did enjoy listening to bands like KISS, RUSH, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. But when I heard Van Halen for the first time everything changed. "Eruption" altered the course of my life. From 1983 until now I have played Praise & Worship, Blues, Country, Classic Rock, Classic Metal, Neo-Classical Metal and about everything else in between.
1983
First Job
In September of 1983 I was offered a position at a Music Store in Delaware, Ohio and worked there until August of 1988. During this time I was very fortunate to be present when consumer-priced digital gear became available. I spent 5 years cutting my teeth on the newest technology in rack-mounted gear, effect pedals, guitars, basses, amplifiers, keyboards and PA.

Music and Family
From 1986 to 2007 I juggled music with college, jobs, relationships, etc. Then in 2007 I got married and started teaching and playing guitar full time.
From 2007 to 2015 I taught and played music for a living. Then, in 2015, my step-daughter informed us that her and her husband were starting a family! So, it was back to juggling... Lol! But now, it is time to start teaching and playing again!
